The General Mohammed of Afrobrotherz is Dead
One-half of Afro Brotherz, The General Mohammed, has passed away. The producer and DJ lost his life in a car accident involving him, his counterpart, and their teams.
Afro Brotherz experienced a tragic accident over the past weekend while returning from a gig. Sadly, The General Mohammed lost his life, and DJ Cilick is currently in stable condition in the hospital.
Afro Brotherz are production duo made of DJ Click (Lawrence Skosana Dwb) and The General Mohammed. The duo are known for their enormous contributions to the Afro Tech sound and house music in general.
As a result of the unfortunate event, AfroBrotherz will be cancelling all gigs for the rest of 2023.
“Due to incident encountered unfortunately we have to cancel all gigs for the rest of 2023. We apologise for the inconvenience and ask for our fans to give us time to recover and the space to recover from this setback. In due time we will communicate on our platforms.” Afro Brotherz said in a statement.
Colleagues and fans of the duo are starting to send their condolences.
“Eish this is so hard! What a dope guy and a talented producer. Rest in peace Mohammed (one half of Afrobrotherz) I’m truly lost for words 💔. All the strength to you my brother Click,” SUPTA posted.
