T.I. just released a new project entitled Dime Trap, a decade after the release of his classic Trap Muzik album. While promoting the record, T.I. gave some details about a particular collaborator. His son Messiah contributed some of his flair as a beat maker to one of his tracks.

During his interview with The Breakfast Club, the Atlanta Native spoke of his son Messiah Harris with pride. He also revealed that he “actually did” pay him for his labor.

“My other son, Messiah, he produced on the record […] It’s called ‘Light day.'”

“We negociated a fair rate […] given this was his second placement.”

“I think I gave him 10 thousand. He negotiated it. You know, I started at 5 […] But it was dope though, it was a dope record. I negotiated with him like, if I got this beat from somebody else, what would I be willing to pay for it? You know what I mean? And I felt it was a dope beat.”

T.I. expressed his pride on social media, saying that his son had produced his “favorite song” on the album.

Dime Trap also includes appearances from other talented artists, including Teyana Taylor on “You,” Jeezy on “More & More,” Anderson .Paak on “At Least I Know,” and many others.
