In 2020, the Smirnoff family and I went to Costa Titch’s hometown of Nelspruit to shoot a personal documentary about his journey as an artist and dancer. He talked about moving from Mpumalanga to Joburg to get a chance to grow through his relationship with the dance crew and the late rapper Tumi Tladi.
He discusses the 2017 release of his debut single as an independent artist, “Activate,” which features Phantom Steeze and Alfakat. After Costa released the music video, which was featured on Channel O and MTV Base, the song continued to generate interest in Costa.
Costa Titch had achieved the stardom he had envisioned by the time he passed away.
