“I don’t have money,” Dr Malinga seeks help after losing properties to SARS (Video)

Dr Malinga breaks down in tears on Mac G’s Podcast and Chill, as he opened up on how his properties got seized by the SA Revenue Service.

The musician paid R1m out of over R2m debt to SARS, but they emptied his house after failing to pay the remaining debt.

“I was calling people I worked with. I called many people, but they didn’t come to my rescue. Every time I would call people and ask can you help and they never did,” he said.

Malinga said he begged them to not auction off his properties as he had no means to get money.

“They took everything. When you enter my house, if you don’t have a heart, you will laugh. My house is empty. Auction is painful. I was there, I went there, and then I wanted to say ‘please is not like I don’t want to pay, I don’t have money. I am not trending. I don’t have songs. I am not being called at gigs and I can’t force people to book me,” he said.
