Eyewitness to testify that Kelly Khumalo killed Senzo Meyiwa
An eyewitness will reportedly testify that Kelly Khumalo shot Senzo Meyiwa to dead by mistake.
On Wednesday, defense lawyer Advocate Malesela Teffo confirmed to Pretoria High Court that a witness who hasn’t been called in the trial is set to testify.
The Bafana Bafana’s goalkeeper was shot and killed at Khumalo’s mother’s house in Vosloorus in October 2014, and the singer has been fingered severally by people who think she’s a suspect.
According to City Press, Teffo, who is representing the five men standing trial for Meyiwa’s murder, said the witness would also reveal that the gun used belonged to Longwe Twala, the son of a top music producer Sello “Chicco” Twala.
This was a proposition put to state witness and evidence collector Thabo Mosia during his third day of cross-examination in the murder trial.
Advo Malesela Teffo says witnesses will be called to attest that Senzo Meyiwa was shot by singer Kelly Khumalo mistakenly.
