Boity Gets Physically Assaulted By Bujy
Even in the fight for the female empowerment and against physical assault, we still
have cases that are springing up each and everyday.
South African talented music maker and entrepreneur, Boity has had her share of physical assault and it’s coming from Bujy – whom she said laid his hands on her.
An altercation ensued between the two and Boity was on the receiving end of it all. She sustained some serious injuries on her face which didn’t look good at all.
Now, an audio of the altercation that ensued between them over the weekend, with photo of the injured rapper surfaced on the internet. Talk about adding salt to injury.
Bujy has faced some serious backlash from people who accused him of attempted murder and fans who weren’t afraid to show their disdain and disgust at the uncouth act.
Boity affirmed on Saturday that she was truly assaulted by the podcast presenter, which got her hospitalized, as she sustained injuries on the face.
However, the photo of Boity covered in blood has made rounds on social media, and people are shocked to see the true extent of the injuries. Meanwhile, it was reported on Wednesday that the radio producer has been released on bail after spending days in the police custody.
Boity confirmed that she was assaulted and revealed that she had opened a case with the police following the incident. In a statement released on Saturday, she revealed that she had opened a case against him.
“It is with deep sadness to state that I was indeed an unfortunate victim of a vicious physical assault and that I have since opened a case against the culprit, which I am following with keen interest. I do not wish to comment on this matter any further (at this time)” read the statement.
“I respectfully request some space as I try to find a way to heal both physically and emotionally from this traumatic experience.”
She also went on to say that she had faith in the justice system and asked her followers on social media to “stand firmly against GBV”.
Following the incident, Bujy reportedly spent the weekend at a Johannesburg Correctional Centre and appeared at the Midrand Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
